From deep in the steamy jungles of a world where "apes evolved from men," comes Thade, general of the oppressive ape army. This archenemy of Leo Davidson, the protagonist of the newest addition to the Planet of the Apes saga, looks amazingly like his movie counterpart, played by Tim Roth. Tyrannical Thade sits upon his battle steed with a menacing glare on his face, brandishing a ventilated saber. The steed, which is articulated only at the tail, stands 9 inches high atop a "rock-strewn" stand, dressed in full battle regalia. Thade himself stands 8 inches high from his feet (permanently fixed in the stirrups) to his impossibly pointy combat helmet (which gives the figure an added inch in height and can be removed to reveal Thade's pointy ears). The figure has some impressively intricate details, including a beautiful bas-relief of two golden apes posturing on his breastplate, realistic chain mail-like armor, and ape hair bursting out from the seams. He's articulated at the neck, arms, wrists, and legs. His knees don't bend, so he's permanently in a riding posture and cannot stand up on his own. He's got a tight grip on that saber, too. It doesn't come out, so you'll never lose it. This is a must-have for any Planet of the Apes fan or collector.
